Run To You

Once you came from a place so dark you’ll know the difference when you finally come out to the light. Only a fool comes right back into the darkness and dwell there forever. Likewise, only a wise man is prepared to take a stand of seeing things as clearly as it was before and delights at being subjected to the light.

One of the wonderful characteristic of light is that you can see all the colours in its place. There is not one shade which stands out but many. This allows us to see beyond the limitless beauty of God’s awesome plans. That being said it only means that there is hope from our former life to now and that was only made possible through Christ. That this problem,  challenges and hardships we’re undergoing is not the end of us but the start of the light shining even brighter towards our way.

Since God made it more possible for us to go to Him even while broken there’s no reason to be scared of coming to the light. Rejoice! You can run to the light and not burn. Who knows, you might find a place God wants you to be – a place of comfort,  refuge and insurmountable peace. #TheresAPlaceForUs

I will say of the Lord , “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Hurting for Better

We’ll soon be closing our curtain store in Km5. Somehow, I felt so much pain in my heart as I see the days coming near to October 31 because I’ve asked, “Have I not done my part to endure the hardships of starting a business?” “Have I given up on what God has in store for us if only I’d hold on longer.” “What will I be doing soon when the store closes?”

All of these questions brought me to my knees asking, “God, what would You want me do?” “Closing the store doesn’t even make sense. Are You even listening?” “Have You been holding back on Your blessings to me to have me see I’m wrong in my decision to invest on this business?”

Then I found out that He is actually looking after me. He showed me all the things I need to consider before finally telling me,  “Chil,it’s time to let go and allow me to take over. ” It took me awhile to act on what He instructed me to do. The duration of the time I spent thinking of what I’d lose and not what I could gain under His care and management. I came to a halt and replied, “I know You can’t do it God because my feeble mind cannot comprehend Your ways. But I want to put my trust on  You than on something I am certain of where it would just cost me my finances,  my family and my time with You. There’s nothing more I can do. I am taking myself out of the picture. I will accept the closing of this store. Everything is Yours. ”

When I declared all of these to Him I felt contentment,  ease and peace as I move on to the next opportunities I am praying about. “God, I’m looking forward to having You with me teaching me,  redirecting me and guiding me along the way. It’s amazing what You can do and I yield to it. ” In Jesus Name Amen

My son, do not despise or shrink from the chastening of the Lord [His correction by punishment or by subjection to suffering or trial]; neither be weary of or impatient about or loathe or abhor His reproof, [Ps. 94:12; Heb. 12:5, 6; Rev. 3:19.] For whom the Lord loves He corrects, even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.

Be Open, Be Exposed

It’s true that if we want to know something whether a new skill or a life of a person written in a book,  we add to our knowledge by reading. But mere reading without application and exposure will stagnate the knowledge we’ve gained.

Same as true with our salvation. This is very true to me.  When I accepted Jesus as my Lord and personal Savior I felt a surge of heat coming deep inside me. I was on fire. I embraced the truth that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. In the long run I felt a certain drought because as I gained I am loosing my spiritual fitness. This is because I forgot that His Word is living and I am a vessel for Him to use. When I yielded to His call not only am I gaining knowledge of His wonders I am also made to overflow and share the Salvation through Jesus Christ to others.

It’s awesome that we don’t simply stop by hearing and knowing but by doing and sharing too. #SpiritFilledLife #IntentionalCalling

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God’s power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek,
